Music Class

Tuesdays and Thursdays the kids have music and movement classes. These are pictures from the Tuesday class, with KC's beloved Miss Patty. Miss Patty is sort of "new agey" and in addition to exposing the kids to all kinds of music, she does visuals like "what color is your breath today?" (interestingly when KC started and was feeling scared, it was brown! Now is is blue sparkles or rainbows according to him.) There are yoga stretches and each child shows the class a special motion. KC is especially enarmored of this and is very creative in thinking up his motion. Lissa is just starting to get what that part means.
Lissa and KC are using ribbons to twirl to the music in the shot on the left. Actually Lissa is hoarding the ribbons and KC is twirling with some of them! LOL Rob is waving his in the shot on the right. He isn't in love with the Tuesday class but is a trooper about being there to help Lissa metriculate in. He likes the Thursday class better. The Thursday class is run by a guy in our city and while it covers the same topic it does it differently. I can't quite put my finger on it but I think it is a female energy and a male energy thing. It is great that there is the opportunity for both. The flowy, floaty experiences on Tuesday, the rollicking boisterous ones on Thursday.
